La pregunta del millón, ¿A qué ritmo debo perder peso? ¿Cuánto es normal perder a la semana? ¿Cuántos kilos se deben bajar en un mes de media?
Si nos lo tomamos en serio, perderemos peso fácilmente las primeras semanas, sobre todo si tenías un estilo de vida sedentario y comienzas a hacer actividad física. Una vez que tu cuerpo se acostumbre al ejercicio y la dieta estipulada comenzaremos a perder peso en menor medida, es ese el momento de cambiarlo y reajustarlo a tus necesidades.
La pérdida de peso siempre debe ser a largo plazo, y es fundamental que la persona esté concienciada y convencida de lo que implica. No pretendas cambiar tu estilo de vida diciendo cuantos alimentos no tomas o lo que no estás dispuesto a hacer, los cambios que hagas durante tu proceso deberían perdurar toda la vida.
Científicamente está demostrado que un progreso razonable es perder una media de 0,5kg a la semana, principalmente de grasa, sin poner en riesgo la masa muscular. Igualmente está demostrado que a la larga es mucho más eficaz y existe mucho menor riesgo de recuperar el peso perdido.
Existe otra idea aceptada, y es que la persona no debe perder más del 1% de su peso corporal a la semana es decir, una persona que pesa 80kg no debe perder más de 0,8kg a la semana y una que pesa 50kg no debe perder más de 0,5kg.
Siguiendo estas pautas estás llevando una pérdida saludable, está totalmente desaconsejado someterse a dietas “milagro” que prometen perder muchísimo peso en cuestión de semanas, uno de los problemas que generan es que el cuerpo entiende esta reducción tan drástica de calorías como una amenaza y por tanto reduce el ritmo metabólico hasta en un 45%, es decir, incluso en un par de semanas puedes perder 3 o 4 kilos, pero tan pronto como vuelvas a comer de manera normal los cogerás en cuestión de días.
