Siempre he creído que un buen profesional debe mantenerse en constante renovación, sea cual sea su campo de trabajo, y por ello en este caso se debe estar al día de los nuevos protocolos, tendencias y propuestas en actividad física y nutrición. Cada año el Colegio Americano de Medicina Deportiva realiza una encuesta a nivel mundial de tendencias de fitness, este estudio recoge más de 3000 opiniones de profesionales y de las cuales se extraen las 20 tendencias más importantes.
En este artículo me voy a centrar en sacarte de la rutina físicamente hablando. Veremos una serie de tendencias actuales, algunas más conocidas que otras y sus características.
- Entrenamiento con autocargas: en esta modalidad se llevan a cabo ejercicios con tu propio peso corporal y a menudo con un uso mínimo de materiales.
- Entrenamiento funcional: Muy utilizado últimamente, consiste en mejorar aspectos como el equilibrio, coordinación, potencia, resistencia… A menudo también se busca generar una transferencia de estos ejercicio a otro tipo de actividades bien sean de trabajo, labores del hogar, deportes…
- Core: Un tipo de entrenamiento centrado en el trabajo de los músculos estabilizadores del abdomen, tórax y espalda baja, para mejorar la estabilidad general del tronco.
- Zumba: combina coreografías sencillas con ritmos musicales pegadizos. Su popularidad ha ido aumentando como ocurre con toda moda, al igual que la “Batuka” en su momento, no deja de ser una variación más del aeróbic.
- Boot Camp: Actividad de alta intensidad inspirada en entrenamientos militares. Incluye resistencia cardiovascular y ejercicios de fuerza. En algunos casos los alumnos/as llegan a ser “motivados” mediante gritos e “insultos”.
- Piloxing: mezcla de boxeo y pilates.
- Aeroyoga: Yoga realizado suspendido en el aire.
- Pole-fitness: ejercicios y baile en barra vertical al estilo barra americana reinventada ahora como modalidad deportiva.
- HIIT: o lo que es lo mismo, «High Intensity Interval Training», entrenamiento de alta intensidad, que combina ejercicio cardiovascular con tiempos de recuperación entre series.
- CrossFit: Disciplina surgida en Estados Unidos, que se basa en un acondicionamiento físico de alta intensidad mediante ejercicios funcionales.
- Abdominales hipopresivos: método que trata la zona abdominal y suelo pélvico de la mujer a través de técnicas concretas.
- Entrenamiento en suspensión: mediante unas correas especiales, ancladas a la pared o al techo, junto con el peso corporal se trabajan múltiples ejercicios.
- Sphereing o zorbing: considerado una práctica de deporte extremo que muchas personas utilizan para descargar adrenalina. Consiste en trasladarse dentro de una bola transprente a una velocidad aproximada de 40km/h.
- Body Jump: Clase aeróbica sobre una pequeña cama elástica individual, botando a ritmo de la música.
